Wow, I didn't realize he was so big! What a cutie. ^_^ I have trouble getting 'artistic' looking shots too. The only suggestion I might have for improving this shot is better lighting...I know how hard it is to overcome glare on dragons though! But it's a very cute pose. ^_^

I will try again at soem point with lighting, maybe outside.
She is a she though ;) (you can't see it on the photo too well, but she has relativly accurate anatomy-I like realism)

Hmmm, maybe the anatomy isn't as accurate as I had thought. I think I may have been remebering something off walking with dinosaurs when I was 12

perhaps a close up shot of a face in profile up close to him, like you're staring each other out? perhaps with a plain white background or something? this looks cool tho, like he's your pet dragon! ^-^
